Vancouver Social Hub was established around March 2024 after an Instagram Reel about inviting strangers around Vancouver for a coffee date went viral. Unexpectedly, the post got so much attention from the locals and expats as they shared the same struggle in meeting new people here in the city and building genuine connections. Our goal is to bridge those gaps in our social life in Vancouver. We live in such a beautiful city but with the living cost on the constant rise, most of us (if not all) are on “all work, no play” mode and just trying to survive here. Vancouver Social Hub not only aims to create meet up events that you are passionate about, we also would like to bring you somewhere new that may spark your interests. Just imagine how cool it is to finally try something you’ve been considering on doing but didn’t have enough motivation or friends to do it with back then!
We also advocate for our community–may it be supporting the small businesses or other events being ran by other organizers, expect that we will share all of that with you. We all have the same goal here to bring everyone in Vancouver together so we will do our best to bring those opportunities to your table.
While Vancouver Social Hub is a work in progress to provide more events and meet ups for you all, I hope we are able to create a safe space for you to make you feel like you finally belong and make Vancouver feel more like home again.
